Something's Brewing...

September Newsletter, Upcoming Workshops

Happy September ✨ My Virgo season started with a lot of organizing and mental preparation for this upcoming trimester. It feels like we’re really getting to the fun stuff now (mostly Chinese Herbs, Acupuncture Channels and Points, and clinic shifts), but the intensity of the courses is also stepping up a notch. I’m thankful for this season's energy, inspiring me to recommit to my study schedule.

My herb samples for this course! Do you recognize anything?

On a brighter note, I’m looking forward to Herbs, as we’re learning so many new herbs I’m unfamiliar with. Over the next few years, I’ll learn 300+ herbs and formulas. Maybe a few of them will make it into this newsletter in the upcoming months.

Virgo Season

One of my favorite things to do in the late summer is to brew fruit-fermented honey. Honey is a powerful demulcent, bringing moisture to our respiratory tract, which can become irritated as we transition to the drier, autumn months. I favor elderberries in my honey recipes because of their immune-modulating properties. In line with Virgo season, the time to prepare for cold and flu season is today!
